How to Choose The Right Size
Choosing the right eye and iris size is easier than you think!
If you're still unsure, feel free to reach out to us at info@fourthsealstudios.com and we'll help guide you in the right direction.
Choosing the proper eye size:

Using a ruler, measure one of the eye openings from left to right.
Tip: Measuring in millimeters is the most accurate, if available on your ruler.

We recommend choosing an eye size that is larger than the opening measurement.
For instance, if your opening measures 24mm, we recommend choosing at least 26mm.
Tip: You may want to choose 28mm to ensure there will be no gaps between the skin of the lids and the eye itself.

Choosing the proper iris size:
01
Determine Project Type
Most of your eyes feature a 12.7mm iris, with a 14-19mm iris for creature and character eyes.
These sizes, while average, won't always be a proper fit for every project.
Does your character have larger or smaller eyes? See step 2.
02
Measure
Using your ruler or calipers, measure the length vertically between the upper and lower lid.
Most of the time, you will want the upper lid to cover around 1/4 of the iris when your project has a relaxed expression.
